Inquiry into Energy Policy and Planning in Wales

EPP 128 – John and Lilian Gordon

Dear sirs

Energy conservation certainly needs to be considered and over a period of time I have attended meetings and written to the local authority regarding wind farms and pylons and remain totally opposed to both on the grounds that

a) the capital outlay and maintenance costs appear to vastly outweigh the benefits

b) the transport involved will cause all sorts of travelling problems on our roads

c) the landscape itself will be polluted by these monstrosities .

Solar panels would appear to be a much better all round idea if only people were encouraged to install these by way of a substantial price reduction. Money to be wasted on proposed wind farms etc should be moved in this direction.

Kind regards

John and Lilian Gordon
